Formable microwave/RF cable assemblies are unique in that they can be bent into complex shapes by hand and will maintain that shape after bending.
Formable RF cable is a great alternative to semi-rigid cable especially if the final cable geometry has not yet been established. The performance of formable RF cable assemblies is comparable to semi-rigid cable assemblies.
Standard formable cable sizes are the same as semi-rigid cables; .047”, .086” and .141” outside diameter. They are rated up to 67 GHz, 50 GHz and 26.5 GHz respectively.
The same San-tron connectors used for semi-rigid cable are used for conformable RF cable.
Our standard formable RF cable has a silver-plated copper center conductor, a PTFE dielectric, and a copper-tin composite alloy outer conductor.
