BNC connectors are probably the most widely used miniature connector series. Intended for use with .150 to .250 diameter coaxial cables. San-tron also makes versions that will accept cables ranging from .094 to .420 in diameter. Featuring a quick disconnect bayonet locking coupling mechanism they are particularly useful in instrument and test equipment applications. BNC connectors are 50 ohm constant impedance connectors and operate from DC to 4 GHz. They are weatherproof. Unless otherwise noted all San-tron BNC connectors are nickel plated and have silver plated center contacts. They are also available in other finishes such as silver or Albaloy and with gold plated center contacts. All San-tron BNC connectors will mate with connectors and adapters which have MIL-STD-348 BNC interfaces.
